CHIEF RED EAGLE aka William Weatherford
Reluctant leader on the assault of Fort Mims, Red Eagle was of mixed Scottish and Creek descent.
His character appears several times in my novel, Wounded Spirits
. More about him can be found in my Deleted Scenes. In December of 2010, I was able to visit his burial site which can be found an hour north of Mobile, AL. Although I don't have the picture posted here, he is buried next to his wife Sehoy Tate.
